We are V3, a band for music.
Why, the name V3, You must be guessing. Simply nothing, short and sweet, that’s the idea. (If we have to tell in detail, it’ll take some time and we are not going to bore you with those details!!!)
What genre we play? …Absolutely, no boundaries to music. We simply attempt all kinds of music and do our best to make it sound good and enjoyable for all.
Performance? … We generally go to the stage with fire extinguishers as people say 'We burn the floor'
When formed? …. 2004 and refurbished in 2007 for “Ooh La La La”
Motto of the band…. Enjoy the music: both who presents it and who listens it.
We fuse ourselves with lots of modern music with ethnic touch and rigorously prepare for each song. Each and every one of us in the band posses hugely diversified talents and highly unique in presenting our styles. We are never adulterated or corrupted with our music and we are fully open for experimenting things. As a band we are learning and growing by each day to become better musicians. We are never worried about the reach of our music, as we strongly believe in our philosophy that genuine music made with wholesome heart will automatically find its way to the hearts of the people. |

Ooh La La La, what a ride has it been for us (of course in good possible way)! For us, taking part in this show was not only a mind-blowing experience but also it made us reach new levels musically. Dream come true is an understatement as all the top musicians like Sivamani , Paul Jacob, Vasundhara Das, Kumaresh and Andrea whom we grew up admiring were apart of this show either by judging us on this show or grooming us. Their expert tips and advices helped us hone our skills further.
It was an unforgettable moment to have had the great legend of sound, H.Shridhar Sir, as the judge in the semi finals. We wholeheartedly feel that music will miss such a great person. We are also grateful to the crew who motivated and supported us through out the competition and our special thanks to sound engineer Balram who brought out the best sound from us.
Being a part of Ooh La La La, we cherish our association with other bands who share a common love for music. On the audition day we were asked, “what would you do if we get a chance to play before A.R.Rahman sir?” Back then we never imagined we would become a reality. But with our talents and the Lady luck smiling on us, we had the opportunity enter the finals and even win the laurels.
Recording of our song at A.R.Rahman’s Studios, was an unforgettable event of our lives. We would like to proudly recall every moment of it. It was truly an exuberant experience for it had terrifically grooved our mind set for the thick part of it. Standing there and singing and recording in NEVE console was previously only in our wildest dreams. Paul Jacob’s help was impeccable. The whole episode was like a roller coaster ride with a fairy tale ending. |
