| We play contemporary world fusion music, basically integrating the east with the west. The main strength of our band is the ability to adapt and play various genres of music-from jazz to blues to funk to classical to even some folk. Zinx was formed by Anirudh, Kishor and Vivek. Initially the band restricted itself to concerts and performances. Then we came across a reality show on Sun T.V. judged by none other than the country’s musical maestro A.R.RAHMAN. More musicians were added to our band to bring in diversified talents and we started to develop our own unique sound. Zinx was the youngest band in the show and received very good reviews from musicians, judges and the public. At the end of the show the band won and it got a once in a life opportunity to cut an album in A.R.Rahman’s studio. The band shot to fame in no time. Numerous concert and show offers came by and the band did full justice to all of them satisfying all sections of the audience (from sixteen to sixty)! The notable feature of this band is that unlike the other bands where the members matured along with the band, Zinx was formed with many matured and versatile musicians. |

| It was an exhilarating experience to perform in Ooh la la la and our band was just on cloud nine when we were to perform in front of the great Mozart, A.R.Rahman. Ooh la la la was the pillar behind the formation of our band. It was a great experience to perform in front of many great stalwarts throughout this journey of music. Each round was a learning ground and the judges’ motivation inspired us to make it to the finals. It was really a dream come true when it was announced that our band, “ZINX” was one among the six lucky winners to cut an album with A.R.Rahman. It was a highly elevating and an elating experience to record the album in the recording studio of A.R.Rahman. The ambience inside the studio was simply great and we were just awestruck to see those sophisticated mixing equipments and every single instrument there. It was the greatest moments of our life and the most unforgettable ones. It is no doubt that Sun TV’s Mirinda Ooh la la la produced by Sa Re Ga Ma, has been the sole reason for this dream come true experience with A.R.Rahman. Last but not the least, we take this opportunity to thank the organizers and our trainers who encouraged and inspired us throughout and who are the reasons for where we are now as a band!!! |
